Uranium Digital raises a $16.5M Series A round
Uranium Digital is a New York-based startup that has raised $16.5 million in Series A funding to build a blockchain-based platform for uranium trading. The platform tokenizes physical yellowcake uranium on the Solana blockchain, allowing institutional traders to buy and sell uranium with real-time price discovery and lower minimum order sizes. The company aims to modernize the uranium commodity market by replacing traditional phone-based trading with an electronic order book and digital warehouse receipts backed by physical uranium stored in North American facilities.
