Newlight raises a $9.0M Seed round

Newlight builds hydrogen-injection plug-ins for cargo ships that cut fuel consumption and carbon emissions by over 20% without a dry-dock installation. On an 8,500-nautical-mile commercial voyage the hydrogen-hybrid system delivered a 24% reduction in fuel use and a 28% reduction in CO2 emissions. Founded by Haran Cohen Hillel (CEO) and Evyatar Cohen, the company has agreements to install on 12 vessels with wider rollout planned for 2027.
