K2 Space raises a $500.0M Series D round

K2 Space Corp. is a Torrance-based space satellite company that aims to develop large satellites capable of generating 20 kilowatts of power at a competitive pace and cost. Founded in 2022, the company has raised over $1 billion in funding, with a focus on vertical integration to produce satellites in-house. Its first large satellite, Gravitas, was successfully launched in March, and it is set to unveil a new 100-kilowatt model, Giga, in 2028. K2 Space is also preparing for future satellite launches as part of its Project Trinity.
