Halmos Labs joins YC Fall 2026 with experiment design AI

Halmos Labs, founded this year in Lund, Sweden by Mattias Akke and Linus von Ekensteen Lofgren, launched out of Y Combinator's Fall 2026 batch with software that picks which experiment would cut uncertainty most. The company says it runs parallel analyses under many possible assumptions, with early work in wet-lab design and cancer vaccine manufacturing.

Halmos Labs launches at YC (Fall 2026)

Halmos Labs builds autonomous systems for scientific research: intelligent experimental design software that works out which experiment would reduce uncertainty most, so labs get more information from fewer experiments and fewer experiments per conclusion. The platform runs parallel analyses under many possible assumptions, validates every analysis, and answers open-ended questions about results where fixed workflows fall short, with early work spanning wet-lab experiment design and cancer vaccine manufacturing. Founded in 2026 in Lund, Sweden by Mattias Akke and Linus von Ekensteen Lofgren, who have worked at MIT, AstraZeneca and Danske Bank. Part of Y Combinator's Fall 2026 batch.
