Greyparrot raises $27.0M for AI waste sorting

Greyparrot, a London-based AI waste intelligence company whose camera units sit above recycling sorting belts and identify materials in real time, raised a $27.0M Series B led by Omar Mir, bringing total funding to $60M. Mantel raised $18.3M for molten-salt carbon capture, and Shipyard said its IPFS funding was cancelled.

Mantel is developing the first molten-salt based carbon capture technology. Greyparrot is a London-based AI waste intelligence company. Its Analyzer camera units sit above the sorting belts in recycling facilities and identify materials, products and brands in real time, giving operators continuous data on what is actually moving through the plant — used to recover more valuable material, improve sorting efficiency and meet tightening Extended Producer Responsibility rules. The system has analysed over one trillion waste objects across more than 20 countries, with waste operators including WM, Veolia, Biffa and FCC as customers, and consumer brands including Unilever, L'Oréal and Kenvue tracking packaging performance through its Deepnest platform. The $27M (£20M) Series B was led by investor Omar Mir and brings total funding to $60M.
