The conference where tokenization infrastructure ships, not slides
Why Attend
SmartCon is the anti-marketing conference. While other events talk about tokenization in the abstract, SmartCon puts Swift engineers, JPMorgan settlement architects, and UBS product leads on stage to discuss what's actually running in production. The 2025 edition featured a Federal Reserve representative and a session where UBS walked through their live Chainlink-powered tokenization pipeline. If you care about the plumbing of TradFi-DeFi convergence — oracles, CCIP, cross-chain settlement, DvP — this is your conference.
The audience skews more technical than DAS and more infrastructure-focused than Consensus. You won't find many pure allocators here, but you will find the CTOs and protocol engineers from DTCC, Citibank, Fidelity, Aave, and Mastercard who are building the rails those allocators will eventually use. SmartCon anchors NY Blockchain Week (Nov 3–7), so plan for a dense side-event calendar across Manhattan.
Tickets range from ~$500 to $1,500 — notably cheaper than peer conferences. NYC in November is cold but the Midtown location is convenient. Worth combining with the broader NY Blockchain Week side events if you're flying in.
